MIFFLINTOWN - The jury trial for a Port Royal man accused of sexually abusing three children got under way on Monday in the Juniata County Court of Common Pleas.
George Reynolds, 57, is charged with numerous counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and sexual abuse of children. The charges stem from an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police who allege Reynolds abused a now-14-year-old female, now-13-year-old male and now-7-year-old male between 2005 and 2011 at two separate locations in Juniata County.
In addition, the investigation led police to discover 32 suspected images of child pornography found on two computers at Reynolds' home.
Juniata County District Attorney Cory Snook called several witnesses including Pennsylvania State Police Troopers Gretchen Swank and Kevin Garhart, as well as the alleged victims.
Police said Reynolds has been charged with 32 counts of sexual abuse of children, three counts of aggravated indecent assault and nine counts of indecent assault.
According to the report, the Juniata County Children and Youth Services initially informed police Reynolds had inappropriately touched a 5-year-old boy.
Police said a 7-year-old girl later came forward and alleged Reynolds had also touched her inappropriately.
The report also indicates a 9-year-old juvenile male, who currently lives in another county, also accused Reynolds of sexually abusing him while he was placed in foster care a couple of years earlier.
According to the report, these incidents occurred at one residence located in Mexico, Walker Township and another residence located along state Route 333 in Turbett Township.
