BURNHAM - The TAZ Fitness party has relocated within the Greater Lewistown Shopping Center to the old Sherwin Williams building, along Freedom Avenue.
After a serious neon paint job, some new flooring, plugging the sound system and generally "TAZ-afying" the place, owner Terri Whitsel is ready to get down with some Zumba, she said.
"The new building is more modern and we really made it into a happy place to be," Whitsel said. "The building is also a stand-alone unit, meaning we can be as loud as we want which is an important part of what we do."

Instructor Terri Whitsel leads an evening Zumba class on Wacky Sock Wednesday at TAZ Fitness’ new location in Burnham.
When TAZ opened in 2011, there were only two instructors leading two classes a day. Now, the facility boasts nine instructors teaching a variety of fitness classes six times a day.
TAZ Fitness is known for group exercise classes specializing in Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning and Zumba Gold. However, Whitsel also offers RIPPED, PIYO Strength and Turbo Kick classes throughout the week.
"Zumba is a Latin inspired dance fitness that focuses on the fun factor rather than the grueling effort of other workouts," Whitsel said. "We make each class a party so that people actually look forward to exercising. It's a whole different mindset."
Being a good dancer is not a prerequisite to come to TAZ, Whitsel said. It's all about keeping the body moving, the heart rate up and the energy high, she added.
TAZ has also launched a new online rewards program that gives members points for registering for classes, coming to class, referring a friend or promoting TAZ on social media. Currently, reward points can be used to purchase TAZ T-shirts, but Whitsel hopes to add more merchandise as well as gift certificates to local businesses as the program grows.
"An online schedule of classes can now be accessed through our website or Facebook, allowing people to register for class days or weeks in advance," Whitsel said. "It creates an accountability that limits excuses and motivates people to get to class."
Walk-in classes cost $5 each and memberships are $35 a month for unlimited classes. For more information and class descriptions, visit www.tazfitness.com. Class reminders and motivations are also posted daily on the TAZ Fitness Facebook page.
