Board adopts revised plan

Updated 9-1-1 access plan to include $1.50 monthly fee on bills

MIFFLINTOWN - The Juniata County Board of Commissioners adopted a revised 9-1-1 telephone access plan for the county during a public meeting held Tuesday in the Bousum Building in Mifflintown.

The resolution set a fee of $1.50 to be included on all monthly telephone bills and forwarded to the commissioners for payment of authorized charges for the implementation and provision of emergency telephone services in the county. The contribution rate will continue for a period of three years.

Also during the meeting, the commissioners:

Ratified CDBG-IDIS check No. 1,162 in the amount of $6,700 to Hostler Custom Woodwords for a housing rehabilitation project.

Approved checks Nos. 37,028 through 37,072 in the amount of $74,435.82.

According to an informational item included on the meeting agenda, the per slip commission paid to tax collectors for the period 2014 through 2017 for real estate and per capita tax slips will remain at $2.59 and $2, respectively.
