YEAGERTOWN - Edith G. Romig, 78, formerly of Yeagertown, died at 1:31 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at Ohesson Manor.
Born on August 24, 1934, in Franklin Township, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Edith S. (Chubb) Yetter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, John H. Romig, on Sept. 9, 2000; six brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving are: her children, David A. Romig, James C. Romig and wife, Beth, of Astori, Ill., Joan L. Hagemeyer and husband, Gary, of Yeagertown, and Kathleen A. Watson and husband, George Jr., of Burnham; two grandchildren, George Watson III and wife, Lauren, of Alburtis, and Tricia Watson, of Mechanicsburg; one stepgrandchild, Michael Hagemeyer and wife, Ashley; one stepgreat- grandson, Jacob James Hagemeyer; siblings, Homer Yetter and wife, June, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Charles Yetter and wife, Martha, of New Castle, Del., and Luther Yetter and wife, Pat, of Middleburg.
Edith was a nurse's aide at Lewistown Hospital retiring from Lewistown Hospital Home Care in 1996, after 33 years.
She was a member of Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Earlier in life, she enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who were the "apples of her eyes." She also enjoyed baking, cooking, helping people and had a love for flowers.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Philip C. Tundel officiating.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Yeagertown Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Main Street, Yeagertown, PA 17099.
