Police: 2 suspects sought in purse robbery

MIFFLINTOWN - Police are searching for two suspects who left the Weis Market in Mifflintown in a dark SUV after allegedly stealing a purse from an elderly woman Monday night.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown said the purse of Diane Sylvia Hockenbrought, 75, of Mifflintown, was removed from her shopping cart at 10:26 p.m. Monday night.

Police said the first suspect is a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, thin build, approximately 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with short brown hair and "scruffy" facial hair. He was wearing a black letterman-style jacket with red leather sleeves, possibly having "SH" on the left chest pocket and was wearing a white canvas-style belt.

Police said the second suspect is a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, thin build, approximately 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with short brown hair. He was wearing a gray Puma logo sweatshirt with the logo and block on the left side in fluorescent pink.

According to the report, the pair were seen leaving the scene in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a late model Ford Explorer.
