YEAGERTOWN - Chief Scott Mauery reported Thursday that in January the amounts of incidents reported increased nine percent from the same month last year at Mifflin County Regional Police Department's regular monthly meeting.
Mauery said the incidents reported in January totaled 301 compared to January last year where 276 were reported.
Mauery reported criminal arrests decreased from 26 last January to 20 this January, a 24 percent decrease.

The board approved a motion to approve the January monthly activity reports.

The board approved the minutes from its Jan. 10 regular meeting.
The board approved the minutes as corrected from its Jan. 18 special meeting.
The Mifflin County Regional Police Department Board of Directors meets at 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at MCRPD headquarters in Yeagertown.
