DAUPHIN - James W. Staley, 86, of Dauphin, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1926, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William E. and Freda (Peck) Staley. Anna A. Reed, his companion of 64 years, as well as her daughter, Leona, grandson Michael, and great-grandson Kurt.
Also surviving are four siblings, Gladys Dixon, of Orbisonia, Donald Staley, of Lewistown, Jean Boozel, of McVeytown, and Barbara Seaholtz, of South Mountain.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Elwood Staley, Pauline Yoder and Doris Staley.
James was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation, in Steelton.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Rick Bender officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
