McCLURE - David K. Forsythe Jr., 62, of McClure, went to his final resting place on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center.
He was born June 15, 1950, in Lewistown, the son of David K. And Mertie C. (Solt) Forsythe Sr., of Lewistown.
David is survived by: his wife, Patti (Earnest) Forsythe; four daughters, Penny Foster and husband, Daniel Sr., of Yeagertown, Sally Walters and husband, Michael, Brandi Fisher both of Lewistown, and Gail Forsythe and companion, James Kirk, of East Waterford; one son, Jeremy Rhodes, of Ohio; two sisters, Mertie "Kay" Benny and husband, William, of Burnham, and Cindy Kratzer and husband, Norman, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Brittany (Walters) Ruble and husband, Clay Sr., Christopher Walters, Daniel Foster Jr., Alyssa Kirk, Jesse Kirk, Johanna Walters, James Walters, James "Jake" Fisher IV, Tigran Kirk, Joseph Kirk, Bryer Kirk, Christopher Rhodes, and Joslynn Rhodes; and great-grandchildren, Clay Ruble Jr. and McKenna Ruble.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
David worked at Overhead Door Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Brooklyn Fire Company, Yeagertown Fire Company, Moose Lodge 143, Lewistown, ABATE Cycle Club, a life member of Decatur Sportsmen Club and past vice president and past president of Chapter 53 of the Patriot Riders Club. He also was shop steward of the Carpenter Union 1946.
He loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends. He also loved spending time with his pets, Kelly, Amos, Snowball and Jack.
