To the editor:
In response to George Fisher and his British perspective on gun ownership, your letter as a whole was so pointless and pathetic I don't wish to waste my precious time and energy to even argue with you, but I suggest if Britain has it so figured out please go back home where you belong! Better yet did you ever consider North Korea? I take it you would love living under communist rule, where you wouldn't have to be amused or offended by our Second Amendment.
You do say no civilian needs to own an assault rifle, and believe it or not I actually agree. I own many guns but never felt a need or desire to buy a military style, or as you call it, assault rifle, but the point is you or I don't have any right to decide if Mr. John down the road, who likes to target practice, can have one. Like I said I have no desire to own one but if we allow laws and restrictions on them where will it end? My semi-auto shotguns would be next and on and on.
And Mr. George, I don't know you from Adam so I can only assume, but my guess is your day would be made brighter if the Daisy BB gun that my kids enjoyed at a young age would be outlawed!
P.S. Thanks for the perfect timing of your letter when the Harrisburg sports show was weeks away. Although the show has been postponed indefinitely, your letter was an eye-opener why we all needed to boycott until they decide whose side they are on.
