To the editor:
I have a solution to solve two problems our country has. These two problems are the national debt and gun violence. The solution is a bit out of the ordinary.
To begin with, I would confiscate all the firearms held by ordinary citizens and then sell them to the drug cartels in Mexico.
I am sure they can afford it and since the guns are no longer within the United States, gun violence should decrease and the billions of dollars collected from the cartels would make a dent in the deficit.
The ATF can handle both the collection of the guns and the sale to the drug cartels. They already have experience doing both. No need to create another government bureaucracy.
Sounds like a plan to me. How about you?
P.S. I just loved the "Twilight Zone."
