LEWISTOWN - Nancy Varner, 53, of 1881 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at her home.
Born April 21, 1959, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Donna (Croyle) Haffly.
She is survived by: her husband, Galen Varner, whom she married on July 21, 2001; her stepdaughter, Angie Kay Varner, of Harrisburg: two stepgrandchilren, Patrick and Kaitlyn; and her sisters, Karin Fitzgerald and husband, Rick, of Lewistown, and Dawn Haffly, of Lewistown.
She is also survived by: a special niece, Misty Miller; great-nieces and -nephews, Dakota, Lance, Anthony and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Lauver, in 1989.
Nancy was a 1977 graduate of Lewistown High School and a graduate of Robert Morris College. She was employed as head accountant at Corvette America.
She was a member of the American Legion, a life member of the VFW Post 7011 and was treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Nancy was a beautiful person and will be sadly missed.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
