MIFFLIN - Daniel H. Berlin, 50, formerly of Rockville, entered into heaven at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born Sept. 28, 1962, he was the son of Wanda M. (Fogleman) Berlin, of Mifflintown, and the late Virdene D. "Bud" Berlin Jr.
Also surviving are: one brother, Ron Berlin and wife, Wendy, of Port Royal; two nephews, Josh Berlin and fiancee, Alesha Heil, of Morgantown, W. Va., and Cody Berlin, of Port Royal; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dan graduated from Juniata High School in 1980 and from Shippensburg University in 1984. While he attended school, he worked at the IGA, in Mifflintown. Upon graduation, he began work as an accountant for Mertz Ford and then for Juniata Concrete.
Dan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin. He enjoyed sports, especially softball and basketball, and was a loyal fan of the New York Mets, the Miami Dolphins and Notre Dame. He attended major league baseball games at six different professional stadiums and was active with the Tuscarora Softball Association.
His love of baseball and softball was overshadowed by his love for his family. He especially loved his mom and one of the highlights of his life was traveling with her to visit relatives in South Korea. He shared many special times with his brother and cherished his role as uncle. He enjoyed being with his aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a gathering for family and friends at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. There will be no viewing and interment in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who desire make memorial contributions to the Tuscarora Softball Association, in care of Casey Harper, 6536 state Route 333, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
