Wednesday's inclement weather impacted only one varsity game in The Sentinel's coverage area, an appearance by the Mount Union girls basketball team in the Huntingdon Lions holiday tournament at Juniata College.
Because the college facility is not available to the participating schools after today, the entire tournament will be played today. Mount Union's opener, against Juniata Valley, is to be played at 10 a.m. After all four first-round games - boys and girls - the event will have four placement games, beginning at 4 p.m.
The second round will begin with the girls consolation; the girls championship will be played after the boys consolation.
Mifflin County's junior high basketball games against DuBois, slated for today, also have been called off.
On tap for today is the first round of the Holiday River Tournament at Mifflin County, and the Juniata County Christmas Tournament at East Juniata.
