BURNHAM - A Burnham woman was arrested at the Mifflin County Children and Youth Services Office and charged Wednesday with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child after she struck her seven-year-old son in the face and head which resulted in a large contusion, Mifflin County Regional Police Department reports.
Police said on Dec. 16 Trinity Kelly, of Burnham, left her son with a large contusion on his face and head at their home at 206 Eight Ave., Burnham.
According to the report due to the severity of the injury several people contacted authorities to file a complaint.

Police said after a brief investigation and interview, Kelly admitted to striking the child.
Police said Kelly was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Aaron L. Gingrich and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.
