LEWISTOWN - Jack A. "Hip" Havice, 56, of 403 S. Brown St., Lewistown, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at his residence.
Born Feb. 6, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late George H. Havice Sr. and Evelyn I. (Sweitzer) Havice. His former wife, Jamie (Harmon) Havice, of Reedsville, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Adam J. Havice, of Lewistown, and Parker A. Havice, of Reedsville; and siblings, George E. Havice Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Reedsville, Connie Rose Himes and husband, John, of Siglerville, Linda K. Knouse and husband, Gregory, of Lewistown, and Amy L. Nale and husband, William, of Reedsville.
Jack was a 1975 graduate of Kish High School. He worked as a roofer for more than 20 years at J.M. Young & Sons, Belleville.
He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and a wildlife enthusiast. He was a loving father and a friend to all and always had a smile.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Barrville Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Carl Geissinger and Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment will be held in Barrville Mennonite Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
