MYERSTOWN - Ruth Anna (Miller) Baugher, 83, of Stone Ridge Towne Center, Myerstown, went to be with her Savior on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
Born in Nampa, Idaho, on June 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Matilda Miller.
She was the wife of Grover C. Baugher, Myerstown, to whom she was married for 58 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by: her children, Salome, of Staunton, Va., Jonathan and Sherry (Bollinger), of McAlisterville, Philip and Norma (Troyer), of Myerstown, Miriam and Herman Mast, of Free Union, Va., and Stephen and Cheryl (Weaver), of Lebanon; sister, Elizabeth Kennedy, of Hubbard, Ore.; brothers, Allan Miller, of Camas, Wash., and John M. Miller, of Lancaster; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Swatara Mennonite Church. She graduated from Western Mennonite School, Ore., and attended Eastern Mennonite College, Harrisonburg, Va. She taught elementary school in Idaho and Pennsylvania for a number of years. Ruth was a faithful student of the Bible and she volunteered in a prison ministry for 21 years.
The viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, and the funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, both at the Swatara Mennonite Church, Myerstown. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
