MIFFLINTOWN - Fannie M. King, 80, of Mifflintown, died at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on Oct. 7, 1932, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Sarah (Forry) Seiler. On Oct. 22, 1949, she married her late husband, Nelson B. King Jr., with whom she shared more than 55 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 22, 2004.
She is survived by: a daughter, Connie L. Eby and her husband, David, of McAlisterville; two grandchildren, Bradley Eby and his wife, Joan, of Mifflintown, and Christine Spade and her husband, Charlie, of Richfield; and she leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Savanna Eby, Kylea Eby, Chloe Spade and Collin Spade.
She was the last of her generation, having been preceded in death by her sister, Mary Sulouff.
Mrs. King was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown.
Fannie was a seamstress for two local sewing factories for 26 years.
Traveling with her husband, camping and sewing were some of the things she loved to do. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, afforded her the greatest joy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, with the Rev. William N. Esborn officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2012, at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
