Turbett Township home deemed ‘uninhabitable’ after fire

This house at 7206 Mount Road in Turbett Township was damaged in a fire Friday morning. Friendship Fire Company Chief Duane Hard said the blaze ‘started as a garage fire and then spread throughout the house.’ As a result of smoke, fire and water damage, the house has been deemed uninhabitable, Hard said. Friendship Fire Company was assisted by Port Royal, Mifflintown, Fayette, Delaware Township, Thompsontown, Beale Township, Junction, Mifflin, East Waterford, Reedsville, Milroy, Millerstown and Mifflin fire companies in addition to Central Juniata EMS and Lack-Tuscarora EMS.
