William R. and Elaine (Sieber) Houdeshel, of McAlisterville, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Sept. 20, 1952, in McAlisterville, by the Rev. John H. Houdeshel. The special anniversary was celebrated with an open house, planned by the couple's children and grandchildren.
They are the parents of Doris Watts, McAlisterville; and William S. Houdeshel, McAlisterville; and have seven grandchildren.

He is retired from Juniata Valley Bank and served in the U.S. Army. She is a homemaker.
They are members of Brown's United Methodist Church and attend the Free Spring Church of the Brethren.
They attribute the success of their marriage to sharing all responsibilities.
