LEWISTOWN - Esther A. Lundvall, 99, formerly of Lewistown, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Pleasant View Retirement Center, in Manheim.
Born Aug. 16, 1913, in Beavertown, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Annie (Kinney) Saylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Lundvall, on Sept. 20, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by siblings, Charles T. Saylor Jr., Madeline Benner, George Saylor, Richard Saylor and Anna Etzler.
She is survived by: sons, Richard E. Lundvall and wife, Doris, of Camp Hill, and Carl L. Lundvall II and wife, Janice, of Lititz; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.
Esther graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College and taught elementary school for the Mifflin County School District, retiring on disability in 1961.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
Esther enjoyed crocheting, reading and traveling.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Beavertown, with the Rev. Richard Bender officiating.
