LEWISTOWN - J. Joyce McCartney, 94, of Lewistown, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Malta Home, Granville.
Born on Sept. 17, 1918, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Calvin T. and Juniata (Goshorn) Cramer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony W. McCartney Jr., on May 1, 2010, and a brother, Calvin M. Cramer.

She is survived by: nieces, Joyce Ann Hutchinson and husband, Larry, of Lewistown, and Peggy Jane Pugh and husband, Mark, of Middletown; nephews, Calvin J. Cramer and wife, Jackie, of Arizona, and Gary McCartney, of Burnham; great-nephews and -niece, Matthew Hutchinson, Sweeta Hutchinson Plaza and husband, Miguel, and Brett Lomoro; and great-great-niece, Belen Plaza.
Joyce was a 1936 graduate of Lewistown High School and earlier in life was employed at Peoples Drug Store, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Fidelis Sunday school class, United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school for 72 years.
Joyce volunteered at Golden Living William Penn Center and Meals on Wheels.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Juniata Memorial Park, with the Rev. Narda Druckemiller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Malta Home, 105 Malta Drive, Granville, PA 17029.
