After graduating, Anna moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a secretary for the Office of World War II Mobilization and Re-Conversion. When the war ended, Anna had an option to transfer to the White House but decided to return to Pennsylvania to be with family and friends.

Anna made many lifelong friends living in numerous states along the east coast during her first marriage.

She enjoyed living in Florida with her late husband, Bernard "Duke" Spletzer. Upon his passing, she once again returned to Pennsylvania to be with family and friends, only returning to Florida when her oldest son retired there from a career in the Air Force. There she met many new friends and was very happy to enjoy the warmer climate with lots of sunshine and a swimming pool.

She did have her share of surgeries, but recovered quickly and moved on.

In aging years, Anna slowed down but never stopped lending a hand, helping others and always being there with a smile.

She enjoyed company and, as always, there were helping hands whenever she needed them.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

In Pennsylvania, Anna is survived by: son, William F. Albaugh and his wife, Donna; granddaughter, Ashley; great-grandson, Jayden; brother, William G. Conn and his wife, Anabel; nephew, William K. Conn, his wife, Janet, and their daughter, Caitlin; and cousin and best friend, Dorothy Lambert and her husband, Bill.

In Florida, Anna is survived by: son, Gary L. Albaugh, HSAF (retired) and his wife, Anne; granddaughter, Stacey Anne Ober and her husband, Michael; and great- grandaughter, Quinn Marie.

Anna requested cremation and that her ashes be returned to Pennsylvania where they would be placed in her parents' gravesite.

A private memorial service will be held there at a later date.

The National Cremation and Burial Society is entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests well-wishers make donations to their favorite charity in memory of Anna M. Spletzer.
