MCRPD reports incident decrease

YEAGERTOWN - Police Chief Scott Mauery reported that in the month of October the number of incidents reported decreased 3 percent from the same month in 2011 at Mifflin County Regional Police Department's monthly meeting Thursday in Yeagertown.

Mauery said the total incidents reported in October totaled 385 compared to October last year where 395 were reported.

Mauery reported criminal arrests increased from 40, in October 2011, to 46 in October 2012, which is a 14 percent increase.

In other business of the board:

Approved a motion to approve the October monthly activity reports.

Approved a motion to approve the October financial reports.

Approved the minutes from its Oct. 11 regular meeting.

Mifflin County Regional Police Department Board of Directors' monthly meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month, at their office in Yeagertown.
