Lester and Joann Carper, of Lewistown, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23.
The former Joann Snook married Lester in the home of Rev. Ira Brandt in McAlisterville before a burning fireplace decorated in fall foliage, followed by a reception at the bride's parents' home.
The couple has three daughters, two granddaughters, two grandsons, and five great-grandchildren, along with two son-in-laws.

Lester is a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Standard Steel Machine Shop No. 2.
Joann was self-employed.
They are long-time members of Rhodes Memorial Methodist Church.
Participating in community service through their church, camping, traveling and keeping up with their family keeps them on the go.
