BELLEFONTE - An inmate at Centre County Correctional Facility left his outside work detail Thursday and his whereabouts are unknown, Pennsylvania State Police Rockview report.
Police said Larry Allen Thomas, who is described as a 5-foot-6, 200-pound, 40-year-old white man with brown hair, green eyes and goatee who speaks with a southern accent. Police said Thomas is wearing a red shirt, dark blue 'cut off' sweatpants and no shoes. Police said it has been reported that Thomas also has a large scratch on one of his arms.
Police said Thomas was working at Centre Peace in Bellefonte trimming weeds and was last seen at that location at 1:45 p.m. He was noticed missing by supervisors at 2:15 p.m. after his weed trimmer was discovered unattended and his orange jumpsuit was found beneath a home oil heating tank.
Police said he was last seen in Pleasant Gap at around 7 p.m.
