LEWISTOWN - Beginning Nov. 1, users of The Sentinel's CU photo gallery, cu.lewistownsentinel.com, will notice two changes to the website.
First, users with sufficient hard drive components will notice an increase in browsing speed when switching between pages on the site. This is because the software driving the site will be updated to a more powerful version.
Second, the new CU site will feature photos taken by The Sentinel's photographers and associates only. This is because the way people share photos has changed greatly since CU was started; most people now share personal photos through social media sites like Facebook and Instagram.
The conversion to the new software will not allow access to photos posted on the old CU site. Anyone who would like to order prints or items from photos on the current CU site must do so by Nov. 1. After that date, photos from the old site will not be available.
The web address of the site will not change. Call The Sentinel's photography department at 248-6741, ext. 131 with questions or for more information.
