Thanks to those who made book sale a success

October 18, 2012
Lewistown Sentinel

To the editor:

A thank you is extended to each and everyone who helped make the fall book sale at the Mifflin County Library a success. Over $5,300 was received and these funds will be used to help keep the library's various programs afloat.

Without the many contributions from the members of the community, we would not have been able to have so many interesting and worthwhile books for sale. Without patrons who come to find that treasure or who come for leisure reading material, our goal would not have been met. Without the help of all the people who sort books year round, who line up the volunteer salespeople, who set up the sale and who continue to keep the stock filled, the sale would not have been possible. Without the library staff's support, the sale would not have been a success. In other words, the sale is a community effort and it is well appreciated by many.

Remember, donations are accepted year round at any branch. The spring book sale will be held from April 25-28, 2013.

Thank you for helping to make this sale such a success.

The Mifflin County Library Book Sale Committee
