McClure fire chief Keith Martin, kneeling, shows Brad Mitch, standing, and his children Kylie, 3, and Aiden, 16 months, some of the equipment housed in a fire truck’s storage compartment Wednesday evening during the McClure Volunteer Fire Company’s Open House. In its ninth year, the open house is an opportunity for community members to see the fire crews and equipment up close. The fire company also provided free fire truck rides, refreshments, hats for the children and fire safety information. The company’s ladder truck and 6x6 Ranger were also on display.
