ALTOONA - Both of Mifflin County's entrants in the District 6 Class AAA tennis singles tournament were eliminated in the quarterfinals Friday.
Altoona's Ashli Livermore will face Hollidaysburg's Marissa Lanzel in this morning's championship at the Leopold Courts. Livermore is the top seed and Lanzel No. 2.
Michaela DeBenedetto dropped in straight sets to Hollidaysburg's Susie Ellis, 6-1, 6-2. Sam Hendricks, who faced Juliette Greer of State College, lasted a bit longer, but eventually gave way to the Little Lion player, 7-5, 6-4.
The Huskies will be back in Altoona in a week for the district doubles event.

BELLEVILLE - The Belleville Mennonite field hockey team dropped its matchup with Forbes Road 16-0.
The Trojans were only able to get three shots off against the Cardinals, who had 22 shots. Belleville Mennonite made 22 saves.
Belleville Mennonite (2-8) travels to East Juniata Monday.
