LEWISTOWN - Rosene R. Pennebaker, 85, of Highland Avenue, Lewistown, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at the Lewistown Hospital.
Born Aug. 24, 1927, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Ruth (Rathfon) Reinard. Rosene was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Pennebaker, in 1997.
Surviving are: a daughter, Denise Detra and husband, Brad, of Thompsontown; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Pennebaker, of Lewistown; sister, Loretta Nichols; grandchildren, Collette, Cynnamon, Crystal, and Jordon; and great-grandchildren, Cierra, Morgan, Destiny, Jaydon and Brynn.
She was also preceded in death by: a son, Richard R. Pennebaker Sr.; a grandson, Richard R. Pennebaker Jr.; and brothers, Samuel, Howard and Russell.
She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church. She was employed by Bell Telephone where she worked as a telephone operator, and later at Lewistown Hospital where she worked in registration.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family requests no flowers.
