MIFFLINTOWN - Roy Allen Schlegel, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at his home, in Mifflintown.
Born Feb. 9, 1959, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Harold E. and Beulah E. (Sourbeck) Schlegel.
He is survived by: three daughters, Amber K. Imes and husband, Barrett, of Port Royal, Ashley E. Sweigart and husband, Michael, of Honey Grove, and Allison K. Schlegel and companion, James Sheets, of Mexico; brothers and sister, Harold E. Schlegel, of Grovetown, Ga., Ellen D. Hogle, of Lewistown, and Floyd W. Schlegel, of Mifflintown; and five grandchildren, Cameron and Katara Sweigart, Nolan and Myles Imes, and Jackson Sheets.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Ann Schlegel.
Roy graduated from Juniata High School and retired as a foreman for Miller Pipeline. He was a member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post, Mifflintown. He enjoyed going to auctions, watching football, studying his Bible, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
His memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the South Juniata Baptist Church, 3647 Smokey Hollow Road, Honey Grove, with the Rev. Dr. Dennis R. Thompson Jr. officiating.
