Child ejected in Tuesday crash

LEWISTOWN - A 7-year-old sustained minor injuries after being ejected from a vehicle that hit a guide rail at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday on the U.S. 22 Business exit from U.S. 322 West, Mifflin County Regional Police Department reports.

Kami Bowman, 31, of Mifflintown, lost control of the silver Saturn she was driving and struck a guide rail on the left side of the exit ramp, police said. The report states one of the three juvenile passengers in the car was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. According to the report, the 7-year-old was not restrained inside the car, and was transported to Hershey Medical Center for evaluation and possible treatment.

Bowman will be charged for several traffic violations through Magisterial District Judge Aaron Gingrich's office, police said.
