YEAGERTOWN - Derry Township Trick or Treat Night was set for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30 by the Derry Township Board of Supervisors at its Monday meeting.
The Board also approved the Juniata Valley Striders Third Annual Dry Valley Half Marathon, which will be Oct. 28.
In other business:
The board approved a motion to move forward with the Valley Road stormwater channel.
The board approved a motion to start to advertise Campground Host at Derry Township Campground.
Community Development Block Grant bills were approved along with Resolution 2012-10 which made modifications to the 2010 CDBG program.
The meeting was concluded with public comments on the dog park at Derry Township Community Park. Those who commented voiced that they believed it was a good idea and showed full support.
The board will hold its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Derry Township building in Yeagertown.
