McALISTERVILLE - A McClure man was arrested early Saturday morning after striking three mailboxes and a tree with his car and fleeing the scene, Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown reports.
Police said Duane H. Wray, 43, of McClure, was traveling west on Mountain Road near its intersection with Tennis Park Road in Fayette Township when he lost control of his 2006 Chrysler Town and Country, crossed the oncoming traffic lane and left the roadway. According to the report, he struck three mailboxes and ended up hitting a tree, which stopped the vehicle.
Wray fled the scene before police arrived, but he was located and interviewed, resulting in charges being filed for numerous traffic-related offenses through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter's office, police said.
