McALISTERVILLE - Bernice E. Nace, 77, of McAlisterville, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 27, 1934, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late William and Emma (Snyder) Coldren. On June 29, 1951, she married her surviving husband, C. William Nace, with whom she spent more than 61 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, William Nace, of Hillsborough, N.J., and Susan Regi and her husband, Robert, of Greenville, Va.; three sisters, LaRue Barton, of Mifflintown, Shirley Haubert and her husband, Lester, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Arlene Miller and her husband, Donald, of Thompsontown; 12 grandchildren; and she leaves behind eight great-grandchildren.
One son, Frederick A. Nace, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nace was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, and had worked in the cutting room of Lyons Fashions, McAlisterville, until the factory closed.
Bernice loved working outside in her flower gardens and watching the birds. She was also a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
