BELLEVILLE - Keith A. "Spanky" Spangler, 55, of 48 Susan Drive, Belleville, passed away peacefully at 12 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at his home.
Born May 17, 1957, in Lewistown, he was the son of David A. Spangler, of Belleville, and the late Helen (Austin) Spangler. His first wife, Virginia (Thomas) Spangler, preceded him in death on May 23, 2003. He was then united in marriage to Marilyn (Yoder) Spangler on June 11, 2005, who survives at their home.
He is also survived by: a daughter, Chelsey M. Spangler, of Reedsville; a son, Alex J. Spangler, of Milroy; a sister Kathy Bell and husband, James, of Enola; and a brother, Kent Spangler, of Friendship, N.Y.
Keith was a loving son, husband, father and brother who will be sadly missed.
Keith was previously employed at Yoder Brothers Drywall, and after that, he went to work at Dean Foods where he worked for 28 years until the dairy plant closed. He was lastly employed at Valley View Haven.
He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church. Keith enjoyed camping, working on cars and watching NASCAR and Star Trek. His family agrees he was a jack of all trades.
A graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family at Lind Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Herb Zook officiating.
