Gerald E. Horner Sr.

MILROY - Gerald E. Horner Sr., 84, of Milroy, died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at his home.

Born on May 9, 1928, in Shingletown, he was the son of the late George Milton and Dessa Mae (Hamilton) Horner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife, Beatrice (Rockey) Horner; five brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his children, Gerald E. Horner Jr., of Milroy, Dennis Horner and wife, Judy, of N.C., and Linda Block and husband, Sam, of Vero Beach, Fla.

Gerald served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a draftsman home designer, liked to read, hunt and enjoyed painting and woodworking.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Heller- Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment, with VFW Post 7011 honors, will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
