PORT ROYAL - Some 99 cars jammed the Port Royal Speedway pit area Saturday night as Ryan Taylor of Perkasie took the lead from Davey Sammons and then went on to win his first sprint car feature of the season at the track.
In the late model main, Coleby Frye of Dover took his second win of the season at the track, overpowering Tim Wilson for the lead and win.
In pro stock action, Derrick Garman wired the field for a 15-lap win, his third of the Port season, and elsewhere Mark Watkins won for car owner Rod Ort in Pa. 305 sprint racing.

During the PA 305 sprint car race, Kody Lehman (47k) hits a spinning “Cowboy” Jim Kennedy (7) and gets up in the air with Mike Wagner Jr. (55) also involved in the wreck Saturday evening at Port Royal Speedway.
Sammons started out on the pole of the 25-lap 410 sprint main and saw his pace halted on the first circuit for a four-car tangle in the first turn that brought out the red flag.
Third starter Taylor overtook Jimmy Seger for second with three away and was running Sammons down when another red halted action with five laps down, this time for a Rod Stroup and Jordan Frontz tangle on the frontstretch.
Taylor pulled the trigger on the restart and drove low into the lead in the first and second corners before going on to pocket the fourth Port checkers of his career.
He pulled away consistently over the final 16 non-stop laps as Dan Shetler of Johnstown worked a strong run from sixth to swap second with Sammons numerous times before finally securing the spot to the finish.
Taylor's lead over Shetler at the finish was over seven seconds with Cliff Brian finishing third followed by Sammons and Rick Lafferty.
Sixth through 10th went to Mike Erdley, Nate Snyder, Dylan Cisney, Chad Layton and Frank Cozze.
Heats for the 27-car field went to Taylor, Bob Bennett and Lafferty with Doug Esh taking the consolation race.
In the 20-lap late mode main, Tim Wilson took the lead at the start with Mike Lupfer in second as the pair battled for the lead as well as the season-long point lead.
While Wilson pulled out to a slight advantage early, Lupfer methodically gained on the leader as the laps went on and he had pulled up on Wilson's bumper with nine away and seemed ready to mount a strong challenge when his engine and perhaps his title dreams went up in smoke on the backstretch, bringing out the races only caution flag.
Third starter Frye assumed second for the restart and trailed Wilson on two more loops before getting the lead with a deep third turn move to slide up in front of Wilson and take control.
Once at the front, he drove away from the field for not only his second win of the season as the track but also the second of his career there as well.
Wilson scored a point coup and finished second followed by ninth starter Scott Haus, Mitch Hack and Brett Schadel.
Sixth through 10th went to Andy Haus, Bob Dunn, Chad Hollenbeck, Lindsey Barton and Terry Naugle.
Heats for the 24-car field went to Scott Haus, Wilson and Hack.
Garman started first and finished there in the pro stock main and was followed the entire distance by Scott Landis.
The race was riddled with caution flags but Garman was never heeded in his quest for a third win at the track this year.
Landis was second with ninth starter John Heane finishing third followed by AJ Stroup and Dan Berry.
Sixth through 10th went to Nate Kerstetter, Nate Fisher, Harold Ranck Jr., Lucas Bryner and Dan Condo.
Twin heats for the 17 cars went to Garman and Kerstetter.
The 305 sprint main was likewise full of stoppages and caution flags but when the race was over, Mark Watkins of McConnellsburg was the winner.
Steve Kennewell led the first seven laps before Logan Wagner took over on a restart.
Wagner seemed headed to the win just as Kennewell did before the caution that cost him the lead but then Wagner came up with issues on his car, handing the lead to Watkins who survived for the victory.
Jeff Miller challenged late but came home second followed by Kennewell, Ryan Lynn and Tim Dietz.
Sixth through 10th went to Jake Waters, Sean Campbell, George Riden, Randy Kaylor and Dusty Shatzer.
Heats for the 31-car 305 sprint field went to Kaylor, Mike Wagner II., and Kennewell with Tyler Reeser taking the consolation race.
