BELLEVILLE - Pearl L. Kline, 92, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, was received into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.
Born June 24, 1920, in Selingsgrove, she was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Mabel Francis (Swank) Lontz.
Pearl was united in marriage to the late John M. Kline, who preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1982.

She is survived by: two children, Jean Bitner, of Milroy, and James E. Kline, and wife, Tatina, of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Craig A. Bitner and wife, Denise, of Siglerville, Dennis M. Bitner and wife, Amy, of Reedsville, and Jennifer M. Clark and husband, Mark, of Chuluota, Fla.
Her great-grandchildren include: Chad M. Weaver and Hunter W. Walker, of Siglerville, Chelsie M. Bitner, of Bonita Springs, Fla., Andrew Curtis Bitner, of Reedsville, and Khyle A., Kahlae M., Korey A. and Kaden A. Clark, all of Chuluota, Fla. A brother, William J. Lontz, of Millersburg, also survives.
Along with her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by: a grandson, Allan C. Kline, who passed away in 2000; a half brother, Raymond H. Smith; a sister, Margaret R. Bickhart; and a son-in-law, W. Curtis Bitner.
Pearl was primarily a homemaker and resided in the cottages at Valley View, as well as Burnham and Siglerville. She was an active member of the Burnham United Methodist Church and later attended Siglerville's White Memorial Congregational Church. In earlier years, she was a member of the Graydell Ladies Organization at the Burnham YMCA. She and her husband were members of the United Traveler's Organization. She served as a girl scout leader and assisted her husband as a boy scout leader for a number of years. She loved to bake, spend time with her family and friends and travel. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards.
A funeral service will be held in her memory at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Valley View Haven Chapel, with the Rev. James A. Yoder officiating. Burial will take place at Juniata Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the chapel.
Her family will provide all flowers. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
