They came to Big Valley in 1963. Robert worked for Ivan J. Zook and Sons, then for George H. Westover as a mechanic for 12 years. After that, he opened and operated Reihart's Garage in Allensville for 15 years. He is retired, but still helps at Bob Sausman's Garage. He loves being outdoors.

Jane is a housewife and mother, and was Robert's secretary and parts runner when Robert owned the garage.

They have been members of Watts United Methodist Church of Belleville since 1972.

The couple celebrated their special anniversary by going camping with their children and some of their great-grandchildren, and with a party at Twin Bridges Campground in Chambersburg.
