Fred E. and Sara L. (Mertz) Snook, of Homosassa, Fla., formerly of Burnham, recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
They were married on May 27, 1942, in Alvin, Va.
The special anniversary was celebrated with family members from around the country convening in Tennessee.

They are the parents of: Fred W., of Homosassa, Fla.; Daniel, of Crofton, Md.; Karen Jones, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Christine, of Clearwater, Fla.; and Lauren, of Statesville, N.C.
They have 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and both are retired.
They are members of Faith Lutheran Church, Lecanto, Fla.
