Baker-McConnell

Emily Baker, of Reedsville, and Sean McConnell, of Mifflintown, were married on Nov. 26, 2011, at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Christine Baker, of Reedsville. The groom is the son of Robert and Betsy McConnell, of Mercer.

Jess Nail, of Altoona, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

The best man was Bill Juergens, of Mercer.

Bridesmaids were: Steph Strauser, of McVeytown; Lindsay Pecht, of Milroy; and Kelly McConnell, of Lititz, sister of the groom.

The junior bridesmaid was Maddie Zendt, of Mifflintown, cousin of the bride.

The flower girl was Daphnie Clark, of State College, cousin of the bride.

Groomsmen were: Ryan Diffenderfer, of Mifflintown; Jim Ritzman, of Thompsontown; and Mike Gephart, of Newport.

The ring bearer was Clayton Maxwell, of McVeytown.

Pastor Dave Purdy performed the ceremony that also included: Mark Crosson as soloist; Lori Saltzer as pianist; Sean Moon as worship leader; Hannah and Elisabeth Ritzman as guest book attendants; Aaron and Chloe Zendt, cousins of the bride, as program attendants; and Sarah Yoder as wedding day coordinator.

A reception followed at the Lewistown Community Rec Center.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Belleville Mennonite School and a 2009 graduate of Geneva College. She is employed as an emotional support teacher in the Mifflin County School District.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Mercer High School and a 2001 graduate of Grove City College. He is employed as a math teacher at Tuscarora Junior High School.

Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, they live in Mifflintown.
