Kristy Allen and Richard Ballard, both of Mount Union, are engaged to be married on Sept. 22, 2012, at Smithfield Riverside Park.
She is the daughter of the late Ivajean Stever Chilcote. She is a 2006 graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School and a 2007 graduate of Commonwealth Technology Institute of Johnstown in culinary arts.
He is the son of Mark and Judy Ballard, of Bowling Green, Ky. He is a 2002 graduate of Barren High School.
