Lewistown Sentinel

Mary Johnson Barrier, of Mifflintown, and Eugene Clair Hughes, of Lewistown, were married on July 16, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Mineria Bolger, of Mifflintown, was the matron of honor.

The best man was Melvin Hughest, of Lewistown, brother of the groom.

The flower girls were Maura and Cait Smith, of Brooklyn, N.Y., both granddaughters of the bride.

Ushers were Mike Mertz, of Mifflintown; and Bryan Hughes, of Turnersville, N.J.

The bride was presented by Chris Smith, of Brooklyn, N.Y. The Rev. Martha Carlson and Rev. Robert Davidson performed the ceremony that also included Nancy Brothers, organist.

A reception followed at Lily Manor in Mifflin.

The bride is a 1955 graduate of Lewistown High School and a 1959 graduate of Lycoming College.

The groom is a 1956 graduate of Lewistown High School.

They live in Lewistown.
