Karen M. Steppe, of Nisbet, and Thomas E. Spearing Jr., of Reedsville, are engaged to be married on Sept. 17 at Oval United Methodist Church, Jersey Shore.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Steppe. She is a 1988 graduate of South Williamsport Junior/Senior High School.
He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Spearing Sr. He is a 1984 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. He is employed as a truck driver at Eby Paving, State College.
