Jennifer Mattive, left, of T&D Cats of the World, explains the characteristics of the tortoise to the children who attended Camp Beaver Day Camp July 27, in Beaver Springs. Mattive also brought an owl, a red boa and a prairie dog to the camp. The day camp, in association with Camp Mount Luther, has 45 kids attend this year. This year's theme is 'Jesus Chooses Us' based on the Bible verse John 15:16 'You did not choose me but I chose you.' T&D Cats of the World is an exotic wildlife refuge in Penns Creek. They currently have 300 animals at the refuge which includes 60 large cats.
