Kristi A. Cavanaugh, of Wilmington, Del., and formerly of McVeytown, and John J. Adams, of Milford, Del., are engaged to be married on Sept., 10 in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
She is the daughter of Donald and Joyce Cavanaugh, of McVeytown. She is a 1996 graduate of Lewistown Area High School and a 2000 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She is employed as a staff chemist at DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, Del.
He is the son of Eugene and Mary Ellen Adams, of Dover, Del. He is a 1992 graduate of Dover High School, and a 2003 graduate of the University of Delaware's Lerner College of Business and Econmics, with Bachelor of Science degrees in finance and management, and a 2004 graduate of Wilmington University, with a Master of Business Administration degree. He is also a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a military police staff sergeant. He is employed as a magistrate in the State of Delaware's Justice of the Peace Court.
