As a lifelong resident of Mifflin County, Gutshall said "I have deep roots in the community."
According to a press release, Gutshall owns property in the 7th ward of Lewistown, where he currently resides with his wife Stacy and their children.
Gutshall said in the release his main focus will be maintaining fiscal responsibility in the borough as tax revenues are projected to drop on local, state and federal levels as a result of the soft economy and high unemployment.
"In me, residents of the borough will find an honest, open-minded, unbiased and conscientious individual looking out for the best interest of the Borough of Lewistown," Gutshall said in the release.
According to the release, Gutshall has a bachelor's degree in computer science with a minor in business management from Pennsylvania College of Technology. He is also a graduate of Indian Valley High School. Gutshall works as a Senior Information Systems Engineer at T-Systems North America, providing regional Data Center hosting services for Royal Philips Electronics throughout North America.
