Sarah Zimmerman, of Oakland Mills, and Matthew Varner, of McAlisterville, are engaged to be married on May 21 at Thompsontown Baptist Church.
She is the daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmerman, of Oakland Mills. She is a 2008 graduate of Susquehanna Homeschool Diploma Program, and graduated in 2008 from Harrisburg Area Community College as a certified nursing assistant. She is employed at North Ridge Center for Assisted Living and Brookline Manor.
He is the son of David and Lois Varner, of McAlisterville. He is a 2003 graduate of East Juniata High School, and a 2004 graduate of Advanced Technology Institute. He is employed at Regester Chevrolet, and is self-employed at Varner's Garage.
