Amber Geedey, of Mifflintown, and Derek Whitesel, of Dallastown, are engaged to be married on May 21 at Norlo Park in Fayetteville.
She is the daughter of Steve and Charlane Geedey, of Mifflintown. She is a 2004 graduate of Juniata High School and a 2009 graduate of Shippensburg University. She is enrolled in the master of reading program at Shippensburg. She is employed as a substitute teacher in the Chambersburg Area School District as well as a server at Green Village Family Restaurant.
He is the son of David Whitesel and Susan Norris, both of Dallastown. He is a 2007 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and plans to graduate in May from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. He is employed as a second-year resident assistant at Shippensburg University.
